“AUM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI ”
At the beginning I show my respect to one God, Supreme of all Supreme. I
show my respect to all the enlightened Masters of the past. I show my respect
to all the Master and Teacher of Peace, who are carrying the light of peace and
dedicated their life for that. And I am showing my respect to all the heroes of
the future, who will discover themselves and will become enlightened.
Work and food is the first concern of our lives. Everybody asks a child what their ambition is, what they want to become when they grow up. If a child says that he wants to become a rich man, he will be rewarded with a look of praise and encouragement, but if he wants to be an artist or a simple man, he will be laughed at. But why? Why does society discriminate like this?
Money is one of the most important things in life, but is not the whole meaning of life. In society, so many people renounce their wealth, donate their money to religious organizations and charities, and go to monasteries or sacred places. Is God really against wealth? Is it that to find God, one has to renounce society or wealth and wear a particular costume or follow a poor life? Does God consider it a sin to be rich?
How can I live in society with my money and work, and yet be a spiritual person? Will I find truth, will I find peace and will God be with me? This question has been raised throughout the centuries but still the answer is not clear to us.
Money and work are like two sides of the same coin. Work is the shadow of money; they always move together. The very moment you come out of your mother`s body and you take your first breath of air, from that moment work starts. Your search for food begins, and until your death, you have to continue it.
It is not only for you. The same goes for all existence: fish, birds, animals, plants. On one side is death is trying to kill, while on the other side existence is trying to live. It is a cosmic game and money is like energy. It is the energy of life.
If money flows in your life it will make you healthy in the same way that blood runs in the body and makes the body healthy. The less blood that you have, the less strength you will have. Just as the proper flow of blood makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise, the proper utilization of money will make your life peaceful, happy and spiritual.
Many people think that money is against spiritual life, that God does not like rich people. This is completely absurd. Money has nothing to do with spiritual life and God is neither for nor against the rich or poor. God is the richest of all. He does not like poverty; poverty shows ignorance and laziness, while richness shows hard work and wisdom
So God says, if you are wise and work hard, money and success will always be with you. So, wherever you go and whatever you do, enjoy all the pleasures. Celebrate your life and the gifts you have been given by God.
