Om Shanti Shanti Shanti. At the beginning I show my respect to one God, Supreme of all Supreme. I show my respect to all the enlightened Masters of the past. I show my respect to all the Master and Teacher of Peace, who are carrying the light of peace and dedicated their life for that. And I am showing my respect to all the heroes and heroines of the future , who will be self-realized and will become enlightened . "Brethren, if outsiders should speak against me, or against the Doctrine, or against the Order, you should not on that account either bear malice, or suffer resentment, or feel ill will. If you, on that account, should feel angry and hurt, that would stand in the way of your own self-conquest." ( Buddhism, Digha Nikaya i.3, Brahmajala Sutta )

Sri Aakassdeep`s message of the day : My dear friend, anger is a great vice. It is such a vice, which can destroy all the virtues in a persons life. When the water flows in the waterfall, it is so beautiful, fresh, clean like a glass. But the same water, when it is stuck at a hole and remain there, it becomes stinky, dirty and spoiled. Same way, when your energy flows to the higher Chakras/levels, then energy is vibrant, helpful and fresh, it is full of life and brings happiness and joy in he persons`s life and expression. But the same energy, when it cannot move higher, again and again need to face the blockage and stuck, then the energy becomes violent and destructive. The persons personality becomes full of anger and lust and it is such a viscous circle, more you try to get rid of it, the more deeper it will take you, like a quick sand in the desert. It is not related with philosophy, it is more existential. Energy is constantly moving. Moving is its Dharma. When ego just keeps aside and just allow it, it moves upwards. Meditation/Zen says, just by watching or by remaining silent, energy starts growing. If we look at this in the social point of view, then we will see, in our life from childhood to old age, we are always bombarded with commands. Always we are pressured with reaching to the target. When we can reach to our target according to our expectation, then we become happy. But when we cannot, then anger take over ourselves. In psychological point of view, when the mind understands the situation and is able to handle the situation, then it becomes happy and normal. But when things goes out of his understanding and are not able to handle it, then mind expresses its emotion as anger. There can be millions of reasons and causes of anger. But Buddha and all the sages said, the root cause of anger is desire and ignorance. Buddha compared the relation between anger and desire like horse and carriage. The person who will have more and more desire, automatically, the person will become more and more angry. But the moment, through the wisdom one detaches himself from the desire and by and by the person becomes free from anger. Anger is like fire. You can use fire to cook your food, get warmth and bring light in your life. But if you do not handle the fire properly, it can burn down your house. Same way, if you use the anger-energy in creative work, it will bring more creativity, more self-confidence and stamina in every action of life. But if the anger is not handled carefully, then it will make the person short tempered, violent, escapist and destructive. Where the person could becomes vibrant in life, he turns into violence in life. All the Buddha`s self-conquest is the main purpose of life, but when anger will be allowed, then one will never be able to self-conquest. Western religions say, we came from heaven. Eastern religions say, we came from the nature. But both side, one thing is common, wherever we have come, inside us, we have part of animal and part of divine. When our inner animal becomes strong, it becomes violence and anger. When our inner divine becomes strong, then it becomes love and compassion. In the west, there are lot of self-motivation programs for anger-management. Hundreds of books are published every year for to control anger, because in the society violence is constantly increasing. More and more police-forces are increasing, still they are not able to manage the violence and anger among the society. Unfortunately, through suppression and pressure, no political power or police force, will be able to control anger and violence among people. Psychotherapy and self-motivation programs can temporary fix it, but they cannot solve the problem permanently. But the east, in the past, discovered a great secret of the inner world. This is, first step is the last step. If you go to Zen monastery, many times you will see, it is written on the wall, for to be free from anger, just watch it and become conscious. It will disappear. That`s why in Japan, parents teach their children, when the child will become angry, parents will tell them, take deep breathe and watch the breath. Immediately the anger disappears. This technique was discovered by Buddha and Zen monks. Another technique is also used, the moment anger will come, immediately change the posture of your body, like if you are angry in standing-posture, immediately move into sitting or lying down. Or if you are angry in sitting, just ly down. You will see, your mood of anger starts changing. But, deep breathe and watching the breath, work the best. In Zen they work with anger and gave one simple step, sit silently and close your eyes and watch it. The energy will be transformed, from negative to positive. I love simple ways to solve the problems in life. Western self-motivation programs and the books, which gives 7 ways to control the anger or ten steps to transform the anger do not work with me. It shows to me very complicated and very funny. I don`t want to hurt the sentiment of those writers, but many times, when I read those books, it really makes me laugh. Because, those writers seem like to be confused in their own life. Rather talking and giving solutions to the people, it looks like, they are more angry in their life and stuck in the spider net of confusion and ignorance. Sages and Buddhas always give the simple way to get out of problems and conquer the self. In my life journey, I like the way Buddha conquest his anger in life and became a Buddha. I hope, you also can take the path of a Buddha and conquer the anger for to attain yourself conquest. OM Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
