My dear friend, Guru Nanak said:”The ruler who submits to democratic ideals, His rule is lasting.” So many rulers in the world, they come like camels, back to back and disappear in time. Because of humans ego, they become king, president, prime minister and the leader of some social position. Because of desire, they always tremble in fear, that someone will come and will take their position, but if one drops the ego and desire and because of the will of God, if he becomes the leader, then he will always put democracy as a source of ruling the society. Democracy is a very beautiful word, where everybody`s decision is respected for to take a decision to rule the society. But same thing, when it falls in the hand of an unconscious person, then he totally destroys all the beauty of democracy. He converts it into a system to exploit the people. When democracy becomes a political system, when democracy becomes the source of the political system, then in the name of democracy, all kind of undemocratic things happens. For to win the election, for to get vote, they give money to the people. They threaten the people, they use all source of dirty tricks in the media. Democracy as a political system is very young, but democracy as ethic to serve the people, is very very ancient. Thousands of years before, we see the rulers give the first priority to the people. And those rulers had done that, we can see, thousand years passed, but still today, people remember them. Ram was one king like that. Because of his respect for democracy, till today, people hope one day again India will have a democratic ruler like him. People who are looking for God, how much it is true, it is equally true, God is also looking for people. Unfortunately, most of the people, turn their back to God and start searching. As a result, whole life they search and sometimes they truly make efforts. But just because they gave their back to God, that`s why they never find the God. If you give your back to the sun and looking for the sun, you are never going to find the sun. You will see the sign of sun everywhere, but you cannot find the sun. But if you just turn, then and there, you will find the sun. So, when a person does something for his own, then everything he does, out of that unconsciousness, turn out wrong. But when, he faces towards God, because of that consciousness, he becomes an empty vessel, then God plays the music through him and millions of people listen that music. When one surrender himself to God, then through him, God can help millions and millions of people in the society. This way, that man becomes the ruler of democracy. My vision is for coming times, we will have true democratic rulers and a golden age will come to the world.
